FACULTY POSITION AT MIT, DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Department of Biology is seeking an outstanding scientist for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor. We are interested in candidates with important research contributions, the ability to develop a significant and independent research program, and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education.

The applicant's research program should involve the study of cells, organisms or the interactions among them. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, cell biology, developmental biology, immunology, evolutionary biology and mammalian biology—including stem cells, aging, and disease.

Faculty members at MIT conduct research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses and supervise graduate and undergraduate participation in research. Candidates must show promise in teaching as well as in research.
