Tenure-Track Junior Faculty Position in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics - Stony Brook University The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Stony Brook University (http://www.physics.sunysb.edu/Physics/) seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant professor in the field of theoretical condensed matter physics. Applicants with research focus in any branch of condensed matter physics will be considered. The first consideration will be given to applicants with outstanding research credentials in the field. Candidates must have the Ph.D. degree, relevant research experience, and a strong publication record. The successful candidate is expected to carry out an independent research program, attract external grant support, contribute to teaching activities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and participate in Department and University service. The Department is especially interested in recruiting women and minority candidates. The appointment could start as early as in Fall 2011.
