1738 0Bioinformatics Core University of Massachusetts Medical School Research Assistant Professor, Faculty Position (non-tenure track) The Bioinformatics Core at the University of Massachusetts Medical School is seeking an outstanding individual for a full-time faculty position, at the Research Assistant Professor level. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Bioengineering, or Computer Science. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: 1. Expertise in bioinformatics and genomics 2. Deep understanding of computer architecture 3. Strong software engineering background, especially in web based application development 4. Skilled in manipulating and analyzing large volumes of sequencing datasets 5. Good understanding of cloud based technologies 6. Proven ability to teach complex quantitative concepts to students with little quantitative background 7. Strong publication record 8. Highly motivated to apply skills towards solving biological problems 9.
