The Department of Physics is an instructional and research department within the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) that supports significant research activities in a wide range of fields in the physics discipline. The Department includes 29 teaching faculty, as well as emeritus faculty, research staff, and 5 professional/administrative staff. The department enrolls approximately 2,000 students per term, 200 undergraduate majors, and 95 doctoral students.
