THEORETICAL ASTROPHYSICS FELLOWSHIPS The Fermilab Theoretical Astrophysics Group expects to have a postdoctoral position available beginning September 1, 2012. The group has a wide range of interests, including theory of the early Universe and connections to particle physics, large-scale structure and evolution, dark matter and dark energy, ultra-high energy cosmic rays, neutrino astrophysics, and a growing program in numerical cosmology. Our group is part of Fermilab's Center for Particle Astrophysics which, in addition to theory, encompasses Fermilab's involvement in the Dark Energy Survey, the Pierre Auger Project, the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search, the Joint Dark Energy Mission, and other projects. Group members can be involved in any of these efforts as well as the development of future projects. Our group also has strong connections to the Particle Theory Group and with the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Chicago. Currently the group's staff members consist of Matthew Buckley, Scott Dodelson, Joshua Frieman, Nick Gnedin, Craig Hogan, Dan Hooper, and Albert Stebbins, as well as three postdocs. Appointments are normally for two to three years.
