Position Description:

We invite applications for a postdoctoral position at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, starting in the Fall of 2019 (September 1 or earlier) in the field of quantum field theory with applications to theoretical nuclear and high energy physics. The successful applicant will work in collaboration with faculty in the Nuclear Theory group, especially Aleksey Cherman. Other members of the nuclear group include Joe Kapusta and Yong-Zhong Qian, and the department also has a vibrant High Energy Physics group with faculty with overlapping interests. A successful applicant will also be encouraged to collaborate with other postdocs, students, and faculty at UMN in pursuit of their research interests in quantum field theory and its applications. The duration of the postdoctoral appointment will be for two years, with an optional extension to three years depending on availability of funding and mutual satisfaction.
