Position Description: |
INSTRUCTOR, Chemistry, to teach organic and general chemistry for the 2019-20 academic year. Responsibilities will include teaching a combination of undergraduate organic and general chemistry classes in collaboration with MIT faculty. Depending upon the qualifications of the applicant, some teaching of laboratory classes could also be considered. REQUIRED: a Ph.D. in Chemistry, demonstrated excellence in teaching, outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Applications from recent Ph.D.s interested in pursuing careers in undergraduate education are especially welcome. The ideal starting date for this appointment is no later than August 14, 2019. The appointment is for one year and renewable for a second if mutually agreeable. Applications will be reviewed as they come in.
