The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a Lecturer to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. The Department is seeking a Lecturer to teach General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry during Summer Semester 2019 with a potential for future opportunities. The Lecturer(s) will be expected to prepare and deliver lectures; develop instructional visual aids; occasionally perform laboratory technique demonstrations; engage with students and TAs during the laboratory period that follows each lecture period; participate with Laboratory Supervisor in preparing and supervising the grading of exams and laboratory reports; participate in weekly meetings with assigned TAs and the Laboratory Supervisor; respond to student and staff emails in a timely manner; and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

A PhD in Chemistry is required as well as at least one year of teaching experience in the related areas.
