The High Energy Physics Group at Duke University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position.

The research activities of the HEP flavor physics group focus on the study of CKM matrix elements and new physics in semi-leptonic and radiative B decays at the Belle II experiment at KEK. The group has responsibilities in the commissioning and operation of the Belle II KL/Muon ID subsystem (KLM). Belle II has begun physics running with a goal of collecting a data sample 50 times larger than was available at Belle. The successful candidate is expected to contribute significantly to the physics program as well as support the operation of the KLM.

The associate will be expected to travel for various, and possibly extended, periods to KEK. We are looking for candidates who can make creative and important contributions to our program. A PhD in experimental particle physics or related fields is required. The initial appointment is for one year, which can commence immediately. Based on mutual satisfaction and continued funding, the possibility for extension exists for a maximum of two additional years. Applicants should submit a vita and brief statement of research interests and arrange for three letters of recommendation to be uploaded to AJO.

Applications received before July 1st will be guaranteed consideration
