The School of Natural and Built Environments (www.unisa.edu.au/nbe) is a multi-disciplinary School and is the largest of the five Schools within the Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment. The School focuses on the unique relationships and synergies between the natural and built environments, with a particular interest in teaching and research to support improved environmental and socio-economic sustainability for the future. The School undertakes teaching and research across four main areas: Geospatial and Environmental Management, Civil Engineering, Construction and Project Management, and Urban and Regional Planning.
The School of Natural and Built Environments is seeking to appoint a person with suitable qualifications to a position within the Geospatial and Environmental Management (GEM) discipline. The appointee will contribute to teaching in the Bachelor of Environmental Science, Bachelor of Sustainable Environments (Honours) and the Masters of Environmental Management and Sustainability programs. The successful candidate will have demonstrated research success in a field of biology or applied biology relevant to environmental sciences, will contribute to cross-disciplinary research and will actively contribute to the School’s research profile by forming new partnerships with other academics or industry leaders.
