Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering and Computer Science in Game Development and Extended Reality Recruitment Number: 2588 Effective Date: August 17, 2020 (Fall Semester) Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience Required Qualifications: PhD. in Computer Science or a closely related field with specialization in game development and extended reality or appropriate related specialization Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2020. Demonstrated potential for teaching at college level. Demonstrated potential for and successful research, scholarly and creative activities. Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience/excellence in teaching courses in the area of game development and extended reality, or related fields. Demonstrated ability and clear plans for the development of a research program and curriculum in the area of game development and extended reality in both software and hardware level. Demonstrated interdisciplinary research experience. Demonstrated ability to supervise student projects and thesis. Demonstrated participation in university governance. Demonstrated interest in contributing to the mission of the department, college, and university. Postdoctoral experience. Duties: Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, maintaining a successful scholarly work leading to publication and presentation, participation in campus and system-wide committees, working collaboratively and productively with colleagues.
