A Postdoctoral Associate position is available in the Department of Biomedical Engineering in Professor Nimmi Ramanujams Lab.

The primary objectives of Professor Ramanujam’s research efforts are to engineer spectroscopic and imaging techniques for the quantitative assessment of molecular changes associated with oncogenesis and cancer progression, and to develop novel treatment strategies for breast cancer. Your role will be to work closely with fellow lab members, specifically graduate students and staff to perform a variety of laboratory techniques including device development, imaging processing, and the clinical translation of metabolic imaging. You will participate in clinical trials, provide data analysis, data dissemination, and establish portable breast margin assessment technology. In addition, you will be expected to devote effort to grant writing and management, and personnel management and student mentoring. You will be asked to dissemination your data in the form of publications, conferences proceedings, newsletters, and internal meetings. You will mentor graduate and undergraduate students and provide project guidance, as well as provide critical review for student manuscripts and presentations. You will also be expected to prepare agendas and slide presentations and attend weekly Center meetings.
