Post-doctoral research position in Condensed Matter Theory

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position at the Mani L. Bhaumik Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of California, Los Angeles to perform research in theoretical condensed matter physics in the group of Prof. R. Roy starting in the Fall of 2020. The position is supported by the Bhaumik Institute of Theoretical physics. This position is a full-time two-year appointment, renewable for a third year, dependent on the availability of funds.

Expertise in one or more of the following areas is desirable: topological phases and other topological aspects of condensed matter systems, topological quantum computation, many body localization, quantum chaos, applications of quantum field theory and quantum information theory to condensed matter systems. However candidates with a strong analytical/mathematical background in allied fields are also strongly encouraged to apply.

Interested candidates may contact Prof. Roy at rroy@physics.ucla.edu. The start date is expected to be on or close to September 1, 2020 (to be decided by mutual consultation with the successful applicant).
