Position Description:    

The Program in the Arts of the Moving Image at Duke University is seeking a Post-MFA Documentary Arts Instructor for a one-year teaching appointment in film. Eligible applicants must have graduated from the MFA|EDA at Duke in 2018, 2019 or 2020, and have their degree in hand at the time they begin their teaching at Duke. The successful applicant must be able to teach the following classes: Moving Image Practice (a core introductory filmmaking course) and Film Genres (a film studies course with a focus on one or more film genres). The successful applicant will teach four courses total during the academic year. Applicants should submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, links to 3 samples of recent artistic work, and the names and contact information for three confidential referees.
