Position Description:    

The McGill Physics Department is currently seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of theoretical physics at the intersection of high energy physics, astrophysics and cosmology, beginning as early as September 2020. We are particularly interested in candidates with research programs in dark matter cosmology, neutrino physics and astroparticle physics, who can further strengthen the Department’s research at the interface of cosmology and high-energy physics. The successful candidate will also have the chance to become a member of McGill Space Institute (msi.mcgill.ca).

All qualified candidates are invited to apply. The successful candidate will be a strong teacher and an outstanding researcher. At a minimum, applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent qualification) in Physics. Salary will be negotiable, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates should submit: a CV; a statement of research goals and plans; a statement of teaching interests and philosophy; and arrange for at least three letters of reference.
