The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is actively searching top international researchers in various fields for its strategic visions and goals to translate advances in biomedical research, Biomedical Engineering (BME) is one of the multidisciplinary fields to focus on. The Department of Biomedical Engineering has new faculty positions from the University to support the development of the Department. Beside the above positions, the department is also actively recruiting top international leaders . We are seeking candidates to fill several faculty posts at Full Professor/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor levels with prospect for substantiation in BME department

Building upon a strong record in multidisciplinary BME research, the Faculty of Engineering in close collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine is offering BME programmes at levels from Bachelor of Engineering to Doctor of Philosophy. The BEng and MPhil/PhD programmes are hosted in the Department of Biomedical Engineering with academic contributions from different disciplines. The Department is looking for excellent candidates with various engineering underpinnings in the areas of (i) biomaterials and regenerative medicine; (ii) biomolecular engineering & nanomedicine; (iii) medical instrumentation & biosensing; and (iv) biomedical imaging and informatics. 

Successful candidates will be expected to develop a significant independent research programme with external funding, supervise postgraduate students, and teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. 

Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing as soon as possible, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later. The exact start date can be worked out with the successful applicants.
