Under the general direction of the Dean, the Director will lead the School of Law’s programs in research, teaching, and service and engagement in the areas of insurance and financial risk and regulation. The ILC was founded in 1998 with a generous endowment from the insurance community in Hartford, America’s historic “insurance capital.” Today, the ILC is recognized globally as the world leader in the study of law, insurance, and risk. For over two decades, its unparalleled L.L.M. program has attracted lawyers, professors, and insurance regulators from the U.S. and around the world for graduate studies.
