The Department of Applied Physics at Stanford University invites applications for the 2021 Karel Urbanek and the Marvin Chodorow Postdoctoral Fellowships.
This annual program is aimed at recruiting young scientists of exceptional ability with the potential to do outstanding research in our department. The appointment includes 2 years of support with a competitive salary and benefits, and the competition is open to both theorists and experimentalists.
Applications and supporting credentials must be submitted through Academic Jobs online https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/16636. jobs Candidates are asked to submit a curriculum vitae including publication list, and a two-page research statement that details proposed research and possible collaborations within Applied Physics. Candidates should also arrange to have two letters of reference submitted.
Candidates are also required to identify one or more host faculty within Applied Physics with whom they have discussed their proposed research and who will be asked to submit an additional nomination letter on their behalf. ( three letters in total).
The deadline for applications for the 2021-2022 competition will be 12:00 noon PST on Monday, November 2nd. We expect to be able to make offers to successful candidates in early December. Appointments are expected to begin during the period June â December, 2021.
