Position Description: |
A postdoc position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jing Pu at School of Medicine, University of New Mexico. Pu lab studies the roles of organelle dynamics (motility, positioning, and contacts) in cell signaling and metabolism. Current focus is the mechanisms and functions of lysosome dynamics in lipid signaling and storage and the implications in lipid-dysregulation-related diseases. The lab employs cutting edge techniques like large-scale “-omics”, genomic editing, and advanced cell imaging using cells, yeast, and mice as models. For more information, please visit https://mgm.unm.edu/faculty/jing-pu-laboratory.html The successful candidate should hold a recent Ph.D. in biological sciences with a research background in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or genetics and genomics. Preference will be given to applicants with strong research experience in protein-protein interaction, organelle biology, gene editing, and/or knockout mouse models.
