The appointment is initially for two years with the possibility to extend to a third year with a yearly contract. The candidates are expected to have experiences in physics beyond the standard model, such as effective field theories (both theory developments and EFT applications), scattering amplitude, Higgs physics, neutrino physics, dark matter and particle cosmology.

The Institute of Theoretical Physics (ITP-CAS), is the largest and top institute on theoretical physics in China. There are now 43 research faculty, 33 postdoctoral fellows, and over 100 graduate students. Among all the faculty members, 7 faculty work on new physics beyond the standard model.
