Visiting Assistant Professor of German. The Department of German at Colgate University invites applications for a one-year, full-time
Visiting Assistant Professor position for 2021-22.
Field of specialization in German literature and cultural studies is open. The teaching load is five
courses per year and includes language, literature and culture courses as well as participation in the
university-wide interdisciplinary Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. Candidates should show scholarly
promise, teaching experience, a strong commitment to excellence in teaching in both language and
literature, and native or near-native fluency in German. Completion of Ph.D. in the field of
German literature, German Studies or Comparative Literature is expected prior to or shortly after
