Postdoctoral Position in Biophysics, Computational Biology and Quantitative Biology at UIUC
The laboratory of Dr. Ting Lu in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in biophysics, systems biology and quantitative biology.
The position is offered to work in theoretical analysis and computational simulations of microbial community dynamics, microbial spatial organization and microbial metabolic networks.
Ideal candidates for the position should have a Ph.D. in quantitative sciences (biophysics, physics, mathematics or other related fields), solid training in programming (e.g., C/C++) and experience in nonlinear dynamics. Research experience in biological physics or bioengineering is a bonus but not mandatory.
Salary is commensurate with skills and experience. The initial appointment is for one year and can be extended up to three years upon mutual agreement.
