The History Department at Boston University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the level of Assistant Professor in Modern East Asian History, beginning Fall 2022. The Department seeks candidates with expertise in modern East Asian history, and possible intersecting interests in Southeast Asia, with a preference for applicants with comparative, transnational or global perspectives. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in research and teaching. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate core courses and in fields of specialization. Ph.D. in hand by beginning of employment.
