The lattice field theory group at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is seeking applications for two or three postdoctoral researcher positions funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan. The positions have a duration of 2 years with the possibility of extension by 1 year subject to performance and availability of funding. There are no teaching requirements associated with the positions. Each position carries its own travel grant that can be further topped up with individual and group funds. The starting date is the 1st of August 2022 with some flexibility.
The group is composed of several students and postdocs as well as two faculty members, Prof. Anthony Francis (commencing February 2022) and Prof. C.-J. David Lin. Additionally the group collaborates closely with efforts in the USA, Europe, South Korea and Japan. It is also part of the open lattice initiative (https://openlat1.gitlab.io).
The search is looking for researchers interested in broadly defined topics on hadron spectroscopy and structure, tensor networks and quantum computing applications to hep. We encourage the successful candidates to build and refine their own research program as well as join in and contribute to the ongoing programs pursued in the group.
To apply, please provide a cover letter, CV, research statement, publication list and arrange for 3 reference letters. We are accepting applications through academicjobsonline.org or via email. In case of submission via email or for informal inquiries about the positions please contact:
Prof. Anthony Francis at afrancis [at] nycu.edu.tw
Prof. C.-J. David Lin at dlin [at] nycu.edu.tw
Review of the applications will commence on the 6th of December 2021, and will continue until the positions are filled.
We are looking forward to hearing from you! |
