| Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position at the Kavli Institute of Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology (KIPAC) at Stanford University and the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory with a focus on SuperCDMS SNOLAB science and operations. The position is to work in the SuperCDMS collaboration to commission the experiment in conjunction with collaborators at SNOLAB and produce first dark matter science results. Candidates may also be involved in dark matter detector R&D at Stanford for SuperCDMS upgrades and low-mass dark matter searches. We seek candidates with experience in data analysis, cryogenics, and/or instrumentation development in dark matter direct detection, and expect them to work in the following areas: 1. Comissioning and operations of the SuperCDMS SNOLAB cryostat. 2. First analysis of physics results for the SuperCDMS Experiment and test facilities in the SuperCDMS collaboration. 3. Detector R&D for keV-GeV mass dark matter detection for future SuperCDMS upgrades. Successful candidates will have ample opportunities to test their ideas on data from the various SuperCDMS test facilities (including CUTE, NEXUS, SNOLAB, and experiments local to SLAC/Stanford and UC Berkeley). They will work with dark matter scientists in SuperCDMS and interact with the local dark matter and cosmology community, making connections to other exciting opportunities for measurements in cosmology and physics. KIPAC provides a stimulating intellectual environment for interactions with scientists pursuing observational, experimental, computational, and theoretical research relevant to the above areas. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics or astrophysics. The positions are available starting March 1, 2022 and expected to be filled no later than Summer/Fall 2022.
