We invite applications for a postdoctoral research position in Quantum Condensed Matter Theory in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pennsylvania, in the research group of Prof. Martin Claassen.

Topics of interest broadly involve non-equilibrium dynamics of correlated and topological quantum systems, light-matter interaction in quantum materials, and computational many-body methods for out-of-equilibrium systems. The postdoctoral candidate will have opportunities to collaborate with other activities in the condensed matter theory group as well as with vibrant experimental activities at Penn.

Candidates are expected to have completed a PhD in Physics or related areas before the starting date of the position, and have a strong background in Theoretical and/or Computational Condensed Matter Physics. The appointment is for two years, with a flexible start date before Sep. 2022.

The application materials should be sent via email to claassen@sas.upenn.edu, and include a CV with a list of publications, a cover letter with a statement of research interests and goals, as well as the names of three references willing to provide letters of recommendation. Please contact Martin Claassen for questions during application submission. Application will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
