The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Vermont (UVM) seeks applicants for a Lecturer position in Mechanical Engineering, with an expected start date no later than August 22, 2022. We seek highly motivated individuals, with robust interests in undergraduate engineering education, who are excited to develop and teach courses in solid mechanics, computational solid mechanics, and design. PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field is required. Applicants with industry experience in design are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach, advise, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students when appropriate, as well as mentor Capstone Design teams. The candidate will participate in the development of the design curriculum. Candidates with significant relevant experience may be considered for a Senior Lecturer appointment.
