Postdoctoral Associate in Bayesian Networks School of Civil and Environmental Engineering Cornell University

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University seeks a postdoctoral associate. The positions can be remote (but the home location needs to be in the United States). The position is initially available for one year with a potential renewal for a total of two years.

We seek a candidate with strong data science skills, especially in the area of Bayesian networks and optimization. Ideally this person would have a Ph.D. in computer science, operations research, applied math or a related field. The focus of this person’s research would be on the development of novel methods to link variables and functions of variables in large datasets to outcomes of interest. Pay Ranges:

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:

  • Prior relevant work or industry experience.
  • Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
  • Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
  • Unique applicable skills.
