The Society of Fellows at the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (CAS) welcomes applications for the Postdoctoral Scholars program.

The program invites promising early-career scholars from diverse backgrounds to join a vibrant community committed to excellent, innovative research and teaching; interdisciplinary scholarship; and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the academy.

The goal of the Postdoctoral Scholars program is to give early-career scholars with a commitment to interdisciplinary and inclusive scholarship an opportunity to advance their research and teaching experiences. To that end, we seek outstanding scholars who can demonstrate their ability to further these goals through their research, teaching, and service activities and/or their lived experiences.

The Postdoctoral Scholars program provides two years of support, with the option to apply for renewal for a third year. Postdoctoral Scholars receive an annual (12-month) stipend of $65,000, plus benefits. Scholars also receive an annual allowance of $3,000 for research expenses. Relocation costs and a computer allowance will also be provided. The Postdoctoral Scholars program start date is September 1, 2023.

Eligibility: Candidates must be early-career scholars who have completed their doctoral degree requirements between January 1, 2020 and September 1, 2023. Candidates should propose to conduct research in a field currently represented in CAS (broadly encompassing the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and mathematical & computational sciences). A list of all departments and programs can be found here. Preference will be given to those candidates who have not yet held a postdoctoral position and who do not hold a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position.
