The Kadanoff Center for Theoretical Physics at the University of Chicago plans to make one or more Postdoctoral Fellow appointments. These positions are expected to begin in the Fall of 2023. Candidates across all subfields of theoretical physics are encouraged to apply. Current research directions of the Center include condensed matter physics broadly defined, particle physics, quantum field theory, gravitational physics and string theory. Successful candidates will have considerable freedom to pursue their research interests.

In addition three letters of recommendation should be uploaded separately by the recommenders. The appointment would be at the internal University rank of Postdoctoral Scholar, which is open only to those individuals who are less than seven years beyond attainment of the Ph.D. degree. Priority will be given to those candidates who received their Ph.D. in 2019 or later. There are no teaching responsibilities associated with this position.
