Job Description The Physics Department of the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in experimental quantum materials and quantum information. We seek candidates with outstanding research and a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring. The new faculty member will join an active experimental and theoretical group and will complement existing strengths in superconducting circuits, quantum simulation, non-equilibrium quantum dynamics, quantum error correction, low-dimensional materials, topological phases, and precision many-body physics. The new member will also join a campus-wide initiative in quantum materials and quantum information systems. Requirements Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Physics or a related field with relevant post-doctoral experience. Additional Information Expected start date of this position is September 1, 2023.
