RESEARCH SCIENTIST, SENIOR The Center for Advanced Genomic Technologies in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University invites applications for a Senior Research Scientist specializing in biomedical research related to genome engineering technologies and the study of gene regulation and its relevance to human disease. Qualifications include a PhD in biological sciences, genetics/genomics, biomedical engineering, or related field, and demonstrated research accomplishments as demonstrated by significant published scholarship. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, possess strong training in molecular and cell biology, cell and animal models of human disease, genetics/genomics, and have a successful track record of contributing to grant funding proposals. Senior Research Scientists are expected to manage projects and laboratory staff, contribute to grant writing and reporting, publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, participate in conferences for the intellectual exchange of research ideas, engage in existing and new collaborations within and outside Duke University, and assist with training of undergraduate and graduate students.
