The Department of Theater Studies at Duke University in Durham, NC invites applications for an Artist in Residence to begin July 2023. This full-time, one-year, non-renewable position is intended for a recent graduate of an MFA program (2020 or later preferred) in either Acting or Directing; the position requires an MFA at the time of hire. Job duties will include a 2/2 teaching load in small laboratory-based acting classes. While in residence at Duke, the successful candidate will also pursue a creative project of the candidate’s own with departmental resources and under the mentorship of our faculty of artists and scholars. Submit a cover letter addressed to Chair Darren Gobert, vitae, a description of the creative project to be pursued, and two letters of recommendation via Academic Jobs Online.
