Position Description:    

The Romero Laboratory at Duke University is looking to hire a Research Scientist in protein engineering. The candidate should have a strong foundation in protein engineering, molecular biology, biochemistry, and protein therapeutics. The Research Scientist will lead the group's efforts developing novel enzyme therapeutics to treat human disease. Job tasks include performing research, mentoring students, writing scientific publications, applying for grant funding, and working with clinical collaborators. The candidate should have a PhD in chemical or biological engineering, in addition to at least 5 years postdoctoral research.
