Job Description:    

Position Description: The College of Energy and Environment is looking to fill a part-time lecturer position for an interactive online course on Environmental Policy in Developing Countries. Each course will have no more than 25 students, and will be offered either twice a week for 1 hour and 15 minutes or once for 2 hours and 30 minutes. This allows flexibility for students with full-time professional schedules. All professors located in the DC metropolitan area will be teaching in our classrooms at 1800 K Street NW. Those located outside the DC metropolitan area will be lecturing through our virtual online education software.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree is required with demonstrated knowledge in energy and environmental policy, geopolitics, and international development. Government/think tank experience is preferred and teaching experience is required.

The College of Energy and Environment is a division of the non profit organization Bridging Nations. The goal of the College is to provide students with graduate certificates which will help advance their careers in the rapidly expanding green jobs sector. We offer four certificate programs: Energy Security and Geopolitics, Energy and Environmental Policies, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Renewable Energy Technology.

Currently, the College of Energy and Environment is a candidate for membership in the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, recognized by the American Council on Renewable Energy and is registered by the Delaware Department of Education.

We will be administering classes online through software that will enable the lecturer and the students to interact, creating a "virtual classroom" type atmosphere. Our distinguished faculty are established members of their respective fields, and bring years of academic and practical experience to the classroom. The College of Energy and Environment also offers a mentorship program which will assist the students with first-hand learning experience from professionals in the alternative energy industry. This well-rounded approach will provide our students with the skills and resources necessary to excel in their desired career path.
