The Management and Organization Department at the Michael G. Foster School of Business, University of Washington invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time assistant professor tenure-track position in Strategy beginning in September 2018. We have a particular interest in candidates who focus on global/international strategy and entrepreneurship, but are open to all focus areas.

Entrepreneurship is a key focus of the Foster School and of the University of Washington. The M&O department co-sponsors the annual West Coast Research Symposium, a highly respected forum for research on technology entrepreneurship. The Arthur W. Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship is housed within the Foster School and supports a wide variety initiatives related to entrepreneurship. Additionally, a new MS in Entrepreneurship program launched this past summer. The department also has close ties to CoMotion, which is tasked with promoting initiatives related to entrepreneurship and innovation across campus and the broader community.

The Management and Organization department is consistently ranked among the top 10 most productive management departments in the world in terms of research output in premier journals.

Candidates must have a PhD or foreign equivalent. We seek candidates who have an active program of research, experience in teaching, and who have the potential to perform well in teaching courses in entrepreneurship and strategy at the graduate level. This position has a 9-month service period and the salary is extremely competitive.
