|The Centre for Cosmology and Particle Physics Phenomenology and the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense invite applications for one PhD position. The position will be filled in the areas of strongly interacting dynamics beyond the Standard Model, astroparticle physics, cosmology, dark matter and lattice gauge theory.
We are looking for outstanding, young and highly motivated candidates with a clear potential to excel in particle physics.
The Centre for Cosmology and Particle Physics Phenomenology is a centre of excellence recently established by the Danish National Research Foundation, dedicated to the understanding of the origins of bright and dark matter in the universe. We are among the world leaders in studies of dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking, its phenomenological consequences and the phase diagram of gauge theories.
CPÂ³-Origins ( http://cp3-origins.dk ) is one of the three pillars of the newly established Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS). CPÂ³-Origins offers an extremely dynamical and exciting working environment and it is a reference point for high energy physics in the Nordic countries. We have close collaborations with leading scientists in all major physics institutions in Europe, the US and Asia.
Appointments will be made for a term of three or four years at a very competitive salary and are expected to start in the autumn 2012. Interested candidates are required to include in the application at least two letters of recommendation.
