|University of Massachusetts Medical School New Faculty Position Department of Orthopedics and Physical Rehabilitation The Department of Orthopedics and Physical Rehabilitation at the University of Massachusetts Medical School is seeking a new faculty member who has expertise and research interests in musculoskeletal disease epidemiology, medical and surgical treatment, and prevention. Applications from individuals specializing in population-based research, chronic disease (e.g., osteoarthritis, osteoporosis) surveillance and outcomes, acute orthopedic injuries, and related musculoskeletal domains are encouraged. Multiple funded, multi-site, orthopedic/musculoskeletal outcomes research studies are ongoing and the successful applicant may become involved in these, as well as initiate new programs of research relevant to patient care in this thriving department. Candidates should have an M.D. or Ph.D. degree, with relevant training. The successful applicant will be expected to collaborate with faculty in Orthopedics and related fields and will have broad opportunities to develop an independent research program. A secondary appointment within the Division of Epidemiology at UMMS will be available. Rank and tenure options based on applicant seniority. Applications will be accepted until position is filled.
