The P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science at Lehigh University seeks to fill an open rank tenure-track/tenured position in Power Electronics for Fall 2024 in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE, https://engineering.lehigh.edu/ece) with a possibility of joint appointment(s) in other departments. Applicants are required to have a doctorate in a relevant field by the date of hire.

Applications are welcome from candidates with research experience and interests in the area of power electronics, in a broad range of topics including, but not limited to, (Ultra-)Wide Bandgap (UWBG/WBG) Semiconductors, Integrated Power Electronics, Thermal Management, EMI Mitigation, Partial Discharge, Insulation Materials and Designs, Advanced Packaging Solutions, Reliability and Robustness, and Emerging Applications. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to actively utilize one or more of Lehigh’s well-equipped user facilities including those for nanofabrication, III-Nitride semiconductor growth, and device/material characterization (https://ifmd.lehigh.edu/facilities).

The successful candidate will join a growing interdisciplinary group of faculty members at Lehigh University working in related areas (https://ifmd.lehigh.edu/, https://wordpress.lehigh.edu/cpn/, https://icpie.lehigh.edu/) and will also be expected to teaching core engineering courses in ECE. The Rossin College consists of eight departments, twelve research-based M.S. and Ph.D. programs, ten professional master’s programs, and twelve undergraduate programs. The college also has multiple cross-college honors programs with the College of Business and with the College of Arts and Sciences. The College faculty includes approximately 130 tenure-track and 20 teaching faculty members, with a student body that includes approximately 2,000 undergraduate students and 800 graduate students. The College has broad-based research activities across numerous areas of scholarly excellence and is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
